The two creators of IMPACT are leading innovators in the field of entrepreneurship and global citizenship.
Ian has been a teacher and senior leader for twenty-five years in the state, independent and international sectors. As Vice Principal at a high achieving HMC School in West London between 2008–15 he was responsible for pupil and staff development, wellbeing and academic performance. He is international judge and moderator for the Princess Diana Award and an ambassador for a variety of global charities and youth engagement organisations. He is the Director of Education for the Swiss UN NGO, Sanchild. In 2013, Ian received the Queen's Award for Enterprise for promoting entrepreneurship in UK education, a lifetime honour.
Since 2015, taught the IBDP at the International School of Geneva (Ecolint), leading co-curricular projects and contributing to the development of the Universal Learning Programme with UNESCO. Ian has a master’s in educational leadership and NPQH from University College London (UCL), an executive MBA (Education) and is an honorary fellow at the Royal Society of Arts. He is a School Governor, Rotarian and writer for Global Geneva magazine on education, entrepreneurship & wellbeing.

Derek Browne is the founder and CEO of Entrepreneurs in Action (EiA). EiA’s flagship programme Classroom to Boardroom acts as a bridge between business and young people. It enables senior leaders to connect with Gen Z to develop innovative talent solutions for early careers recruitment, diversity and consumer insights challenges.
EiA has run innovation and entrepreneurship programmes with over 16,000 young people in schools, colleges and universities across the UK, Europe, Africa, and Caribbean. These include long-standing relationships with high profile IB schools such as the International School of Geneva and Sevenoaks School.
Derek is an entrepreneur and international speaker who previously had a successful career in banking with Merrill Lynch and Barings Investment Bank. He is a holder of The Queen’s Award for Enterprise Promotion and was an ambassador for these awards. Derek is a Youth Innovation ambassador for Innovate UK, the UK government’s innovation body.
