IMPACT is a transdisciplinary, project-based programme for 16–19-year-olds that challenges students to learn in the moment, work in a team, innovate and advocate for themselves. Set against the backdrop of the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), this resource encourages students to show initiative, embrace new challenges, reflect on their learning, demonstrate perseverance and develop skills, such as teamwork, critical thinking, innovation, leadership and entrepreneurship.
In order to complete IMPACT, students will:
- Research a country
- Investigate the UN SDGs
- Use the SDGs to narrow down their research to a current problem that a country faces
- Use design thinking to create an innovation to solve the problem they’ve identified
- Present and advocate for their innovation to the wider world.
