This brand-new WJEC GCSE English Language and Literature (Single and Double Award) Student Book develops the skills learners need throughout their course and into revision. Fully mapped to the specification, it delivers clear, comprehensive coverage of core texts alongside in-depth skill development – giving learners a flexible combined study and revision resource they can rely on from first teaching to final assessment.

  • English Language and Literature skills are brought together within a coherent framework that reflects the integrated structure of the new specification. By making purposeful connections across and between units, the book supports students in transferring their knowledge, strengthening their understanding and applying their skills with confidence.

  • Highly visual and carefully structured, the guide features clear explanations, high-quality knowledge organisers and thoughtfully sequenced practice activities that support steady progression. Its flexible design and accessible scaffolding help all learners meet the demands of the new course with assurance while encouraging independence.

  • Every core skill required by the WJEC GCSE English Language and Literature specification is explicitly taught, practised and revisited throughout this comprehensive Study and Revision Guide. Core and optional texts are comprehensively supported. However, the emphasis remains firmly on deep, transferable skills. This ensures students are prepared not only for assessment, but for sustained success in English.
